One of my students' favorite stories in the literature anthology is an excerpt from "Roman Diary". The book is a historical fiction, and the students relate to the protaganist in the story, a young Roman slave. By having the opportunity to read the novel with the class, the students will be enhancing their reading skills while learning about ancient history. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Our classroom reading levels range from 3rd grade reading level to 8th grade, and evey grade level in between. With this class set of books, each child will have a copy to read, and we will work on writing projects throughout the novel. It will be an opportunity to read an engaging book and learn about the history of Rome.
