The carpet will provide a soft comfy seat to first graders who spend a lot of time learning sitting on the carpet. This rug will also let them see the alphabet written neatly to refer to when writing. First grade is essential in learning to read and write. We use the Fundations program that is hands on and they sit as a group and use other tools to build and read words. We also enjoy sitting at the carpet for calendar time and Heggerty. We also enjoy listening to stories at the carpet.

About my class
