The goal is to gradually build up a classroom set of graphing calculators to ensure that the students can enhance their understanding in mathematics through the aid of technology. By having these materials, they will have a more level playing field in standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT, which will have a profound impact on their opportunities beyond high school. The capabilities of these calculators are not just useful for basic computations, but will allow them to experiment with numbers and data from a real-world to make interpretations about the hows and whys of the impact of these quantities. These real-world applications are critical to solidifying mathematical comprehension and enthusiasm.

About my class
