Overall, my students come to school ready and excited to learn. However, there are times that they become dysregulated and need a place to calm down. A calm down corner provides a safe, quiet place for any child to go to relax and reregulate their body before coming back to learning. This space is never punitive and can be used by any child. When children feel there is a safe space to work through their feelings in a healthy way, they are more willing to open up and share their feelings and fears.

About my class
