With the purchase of the Canon camera, I will be able to travel to places that the students cannot go to during this time and take them on virtual field trips. I am striving to give our students experiences they are missing out on with so many limitations on field trips and traveling right now. For example I will visit local businesses, and shops; then give them behind the scenes tours that connect to our lessons in Business and ESL classes. I will be able to create videos, then edit them, and upload virtual field trip experiences for not only our in-person students but our virtual students as well. Students will also make video introductions of themselves and teachers around the school. Students will practice being young reporters in a news room on the school campus. Students will develop their language skills by writing questions to ask during interviews, as well as practice their reading and oral language skills. Students will develop their listening skills as they watch their videos, and other student videos. They will then upload the videos onto Google Classroom for in class and distance learning. Students and parents will be able to watch videos at home, and share with family and friends what they are creating and learning in school.
