These literacy and math center activities that I picked for my early learners will reinforce what is being taught in the classroom. With so much focus on foundational skill development in the younger grades, keeping the interest and attention span of 5 and 6 year old children is crucial for learning. These high-interest centers will provide my students the reinforcement and confidence they need on their journey of mastering literacy and math concepts vital for skill development. Once I model what to do for each activity, my students may choose what activity they would like to do at each center. This boosts independence and responsibility, letting my students know that they have a part in their learning.
