In Reader's Workshop, my students learn critical thinking skills, analytical skills, and reading skills. These tools are essential not only in my class, but in every other class, in every grade, and finally for a successful transition into college and adult life. My students will be able to show mastery of these tasks by articulating in writing their thought process. We will construct arguments, develop strong positions and cite evidence from texts, all while gratefully making use of the pencils, paper, and other tools graciously donated to ensure our success!

About my class
