Our bodies weren't meant to sit in chairs all day. Just look at Google employees! But, with the help of flexible seating options, like wobble cushions and bean bags, my students will enjoy the benefits of increased production and movement as they become stronger readers, writers, and scholars. Did you know that sitting on the floor has a high correlation to increased handwriting skills? This is often a challenging time for my students, especially those who come to school with weak fine motor skills. By giving them flexible seating options, they will be able to take ownership of their space, improve handwriting and coordination, and be more productive members of our classroom family.
