The materials listed will be the seating students will use in my classroom throughout each day. Students will rotate on a weekly basis through the seating in my room. I want to create a classroom environment that mimics an at-home atmosphere and completely gets rid of the typical desk/chairs only. Students will have some seating that has a table, and others will use clipboards when necessary. At this age level, the students absolutely LOVE when I just give them a pillow to sit on the floor with. I believe students learn best when they are comfortable. I hope this new type of seating reflects just that!
