Many times students are struggling with personal frustrations and when we add school frustrations they struggle with the correct way to handle those emotions. A Calming Corner would be an area where they can go and use different resources to calm down and work through their high emotions. This project would create a place in my classroom for students to go that is safe when they need to work through their high emotions or frustrations. A beanbag in a corner with fidget toys, breathing techniques, and books about emotions are just a few of the resources my students will be able to use to learn coping skills. Living in a post pandemic world has many struggles but especially for students. Your help would help this vital need be achieved.
