These SPOTS will help my special education students with their social emotional learning. I will build lessons that integrate general curriculum with these books and activities. The SPOTS in this curriculum are fun and easy for my students to relate to, which makes the topic we are discussing a more engaging lesson as well. My students will be able to see some of their feelings and experiences in the SPOT stories and in turn can relate and use the techniques that have been introduced and taught. I plan to incorporate these SEL lessons with reading and writing lessons so multiple subjects can be learned at the same time in a fun manner.
