These books will be the center of our social emotional lessons. We will read these books and then use their theme as the topic for our writing projects. I believe that it is important for students to comprehend the moral of the story and we will be reading each story as a class. This helps with diving in and having a deeper conversation when discussing the moral of the story. The flexible seating will help tremendously in our first grade classroom this year. A few of my students have been virtual all year in kindergarten and they have not adapted to sitting for long periods of time. I believe these seats will help students transition smoothly to being in the classroom all day.
