This school year, our building received a grant for an outdoor garden. The grant includes various material to assist in teaching students how to grow and prepare fruits and vegetables to eat. Our school has a large outdoor courtyard where the lessons will be taught to the K-5 students. In order to learn how to grow and prepare fruits and vegetables, students will need a few materials in being successful. First, a large whiteboard for teacher-driven lessons and small whiteboards for students. Student whiteboards allow the teacher to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. Next, garden gloves and shovels will be used by both teacher(s) and students to grow and pull fruits and vegetables. This allows an easy and clean way to do this task in the garden. With your donation, students will learn how to grow and prepare fruits and vegetables. Also to prepare foods to eat and learn how to eat properly for a healthy future!
