When the students arrive on the first day, they will each be given a pencil sharpener of their own as well as pencils. These materials will allow each of my students to have the supplies they need to get each day started off right. Each student will have personal supplies at their desk to eliminate the distractions of excess movement. This will help their learning because they will have the materials they need, ready for each lesson, without having to get up and sharpen a pencil. Believe it or not, this is very time consuming. Having the materials on hand, will start they day off right!
