If fully funded, we can utilize fitness trackers to eliminate student error in finding/calculating their heart rate before, during, and after exercise. Instant heart rate results will minimize time spent ensuring accurate self-checks of student heart rates. Fitness trackers will also open the door to apply further discussion of caloric expenditure and its relation to exercise with data to support our findings. The students will SEE the improvement that they make throughout the semester. They will be used every day, for each student in 6th through 8th; therefore, allowing benefit to every student in the building!
