The recharge room will allow students to relocate to private, calm area to regulate their bodies during times of frustration, worry, and/or anger. Students will have access to strategies to calm their body down, such as a quiet place to sit (bean bag) wrapped in a blanket or a table to sit at to color how he or she may be feeling. Many K-3 students struggle to verbalize how they feel and identify the right emotion. Reading stories about feelings and practicing strategies to calm their bodies down, hopefully will increase their skills to react appropriately emotionally.
