In order for kids to learn, they need to be able to pay attention. In order to pay attention, we need to let them move." - Angela Hanscom. This quote summarizes my feelings about giving kids a chance to move while they are learning. This chair will give everyone a comfortable seat while providing them the opportunity to move while sitting. The ergonomic chair allows for freedom of movement and provides support for children. This is huge as we currently spend all of our time in the classroom at our desks to practice social distancing. I believe that the Cantilever Chairs are just the thing for energetic first graders to learn while moving and moving while learning. Supplying our classroom with this resource will allow students the opportunity to move substantially more throughout the day. While gaining a foundational understanding of the importance of their health, students will also experience the connection between the mind and the body!
