Differentiated Instruction is a critical aspect of student learning. Students learn at different levels and in different ways. As such, the classroom environment needs to be one that is conducive to learning. Classroom noises such as chairs screeching across the floors as students maneuver throughout their differentiated learning centers and the sounds of various computer programs when students are working their individual learning track is disruptive and distracting. Students need headphones to tune out outside distractions and bring into focus what is happening on their learning site. With COVID-19 and CDC guidelines, classroom sets of headphones are no longer an option. Each student needs their own personal set of headphones or earbuds. Tennis balls on the chairs help to alleviate the screeching noises. Your donation to our project will not only help increase student focus on their task at hand, ultimately academic performance will be enhanced. Furthermore, tennis balls on the chair legs aide in keeping the classroom floors clean and free from unsightly scratches and a dirty appearance. A clean classroom can also maximize the learning experience.
