Flexible seating is something I have grown to love. This gives the students many options to feel comfortable in their learning environment. Flexible seating allows students to be active even while they are sitting down listening to you teach. I have requested wobble chairs, soft seats, a beanbag chair, and floor seats for our classroom. My students, who are 5 and 6 year olds, love to be active. These seats can also be used as a behavior incentive. I have seen students change behavior based on where or what kind of seat they are sitting in. I have seen flexible seating used in many different ways and can’t wait to see my students excel in the classroom.
