Providing headsets for small groups of struggling readers allows them to listen to modeled reading and also record themselves to measure progress. When struggling readers practice and receive good coaching, they increase fluency which aids in comprehension and ultimately learning! When students come to me for reading help, they are self conscious and do not prefer reading to a teacher or peer. The headsets with microphones allows students to practice independently and gain confidence in their reading skills. It enables me to work with multiple small groups at a time, reaching more students who need help. Thank you for considering a donation to my first DonorsChoose.org project!
