This year my students did a lot of independent work due to Covid and lack of materials from me being a first year teacher. This project will allow me to do more collaborative and creative work with my students. I teach U.S history and I feel the best way to get kids jazzed about social studies is hands on activities, where I can incorporate stem and art into the classroom. I also think being able to create more flexible seating for my room would allow them to become more inspired to work independently or in groups! I feel the classroom environment impact learning just as much as content, and this will help provide a student centered learning environment for my kiddos.
