As a first year teacher, I am working on building a strong classroom library for my students. I would love to have a variety of books that will build my students' confidence in their reading and foster a lifelong love of reading. In first grade it is imperative that students are in a literacy-rich environment. First graders are building their foundation for reading and need access to books that support those foundational skills. This is also a time where students are making major strides in their reading skills and are ready for beginner chapter books. These books and chapter book series are key to fostering that lifelong love of reading in young students. With your support, I can build a classroom library that meets the needs of all my students!
