Flexible seating is important in providing students choices and comfort in their learning! Through these choices, my hope is to help students feel comfortable enough to truly dive into their learning and inspire creativity that they might not ordinarily obtain. I have done extensive research on creativity and the classroom and a reoccurring theme is that students need to feel comfortable and safe in order to be able to embrace their creativity. My goal is to support both of these themes. I believe my classroom is an extension of me, so I want my students to feel they are in a place of exploration rather than a place of confinement.
