The materials will be used to create centers in the classroom to meet the diverse needs of the students. Students in the classroom have historically had constant staff turnover and as a result, the student physical space has been neglected over the years. The students have also been home during most of the school year and have been desperately in need of sensory stimulation. The students have experienced exceptional regression in daily living skills. The goal is to create a classroom-rich environment where students have access to appropriate educational resources. The student's academic abilities range widely. The centers will help focus on the specific needs of each group. Staff in the class all agree that when using quality resources students will spend more time engaged in the learning center.
