I am requesting a math maniuplative bundle, LEGO brick set and giant magnetic fraction circles. Fractions are a hard concept for students to grasp. Being able to see them and feel them in person helps that understanding move from an idea to a real concept. When students can physically remove “pieces of the pie” and “cut the candy bar into pieces” it gives them that visual understanding that so many students need. These resources will also help students with their fine motor skills. Students will use the small LEGO sets and the math manipulatives to practice and to build this academic and physical skill. Help my students learn about fractions and how they apply to read world situations.
