Having a designated area to sit eases transition time and anxiety as the child knows exactly where to go. The alphabet rug will create an enticing and organized area for whole group instruction. The alphabet rug will be used numerous times through the school day. It will be used during whole group activities such calendar time, story time, and reading and math lessons. It will also be used to practice letter, sound, and color recognition.
