The materials I have selected will allow me to have extra supplies in my classroom for students that do not have a pen, pencil or a notebook. I will also be able to give each student a folder to organize their class notes. These supplies will go long way in assisting my students who are from minority and low income families. I also believe that we need to allow our students to feel inspired and be rewarded for excelling at academics, teamwork, etc. I want them to be able to express themselves by putting their own personality and creativity on items such as folders. COVID is still here and with all the new strands I want to make sure I have a clean classroom and masks are available if they are needed. These students are coming back from a hard academic year and there are still academic gaps in their education and math is normally known as a "boring subject." I want to give them an outlet to express themselves, have fun and learn the subject matter and ultimately close the gaps.
