My students are working hard to become the more independent adults they can be, which includes learning how to do their own laundry! The only thing we are lacking is a washer and dryer! With this washer and dryer, my students will be practicing sorting, washing, drying, folding and putting away laundry from various places within the school which helps my students feel connected to their school community, all while learning a new life long skill. Also, this washer and dryer will give students who do not have access to clean clothes at home the opportunity to wash their clothes at school.
