These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because it will give them a classroom library that has variety, not only in topic, but in reading ability. Every student deserves to find a comfy spot with a book they can read and comprehend, no matter their reading skills. I am working hard to foster an environment where reading is a happy activity, not a "have to". I want them to be excited to go through new books and share their favorites with reading buddies or go home and share the stories with their parents! When reading is enjoyable and fun, it is one of the best tools for learning and growth.
