The materials I selected for my classroom each have so many benefits. The Jumbo Picture Story Newsprint will also me to sit with the students in small groups and model the type of writing and illustrations that I want them to use. The Snap Together Letter Blocks, Build the Letter Activity Center, and the Alphabet Sound Teaching Tub are all ways to help the students learn through touching and exploring. At this early age, just seeing the letters on an alphabet chart and cards just isn't enough to help the students grasp the letters. The learning tubs especially will allow the students to not only hold the things that begin with that letter but also be able to relate some of those objects to their home environment. Once they learn the letter sounds thoroughly then they can begin reading words.
