My students require hands-on material and sensory items to keep them focused during the school day. My students benefit from tactile and sensory materials to help them learn such as play-doh to form letters and numbers. Many of my students present with behavior concerns and require sensory items to calm them down. My students would benefit from reading material such as 'touch and read' items. These materials allow my students to receive sensory input while they're learning. My students also need flexible seating. Many of my students have ADHD and require movement while they work. Flexible seating allows them to fidget while still working.
