My students spent the last year learning virtually on their Chromebooks. While teachers did the best they could under the circumstances, students spent a lot of time listening rather than participating. My students are beyond excited to be back in the classroom, so I want them to be able to participate as fully as possible. I have noticed that my students are more fidgety than usual, a natural consequence of distance learning. I would love to provide my students with flexible seating options in order to make my classroom lessons more engaging for my students. STEM projects are always my students favorite part of the day, so I am asking for materials in order to help my students strengthen their engineering skills. Flexible seating and STEM kits will help my students to be active participants in their school experience. When students are excited to come to school, they will learn and retain more information. Flexible seating will make my students feel more comfortable in my classroom, and STEM kits will help my students to apply their learning to the real world while also developing skills that will prepare them for future careers.
