Our classroom carpet has seen better days, and we could really use a new one! A clean carpet is especially essential in the pandemic, with sanitization measures at the forefront of our concerns for our students' health. We have our morning meetings on the carpet, important discussions about our feelings on the carpet, math lessons on the carpet, and independent reading on our carpet, among other things! It is, quite literally, the physical and emotional centerpiece of our classroom. My students feel safe to work, play, and learn on the carpet and value the conversations we have there. My students and I would greatly appreciate a new and clean place to sit and learn throughout our day!
