I am requesting soft unit blocks and storage. The discovery play center will tap into the endless energy of 3 to 5 year olds and provide them with an opportunity to develop their gross and fine motor skills. Their curiosity will allow them to grow and learn via play. My students will use the blocks to build, assess, re-construct, plan, share, interact, and create. The discovery play center will be a unique place for these toddlers to enjoy away from the older students on our intermediate campus. At this impressionable age, these students need an area that is all their own for discovering that the library is a place to learn through multiple resources, not just books. All surfaces and items will be able to be cleaned after use and stored. This will make it convenient to allow all populations on our campus to have their own area in such tight quarters.
