My students are diverse in many ways, but the trait they have in common is that they are eager to learn, especially when technology is being used. Most of my students are on free lunch and have parents who are busy trying to help their family survive. I also have students who are learning English as a second language. This is a daily challenge, but one that my students are eager to face. I am so proud my students for their driven nature at such a young age. The school population has changed significantly in the past 4 years. Many parents have lost jobs and I have countless students who are homeless or living in hotels. Unfortunately, students are often times moving from school to school due to this fact. I wish to plant the "education" seed in the minds of my students. I want them to know that if they can read and work hard that they can do anything they put their mind to. I also want them to be comfortable with the use of technology since this is an important part of our society.
