To provide students with an alternative musical experience to classic orchestral repertoire, we are hoping to start an electric rock orchestra. This group will be in addition to our two curricular orchestras and auditioned Chamber String ensemble. Electric instruments provide a unique musical experience for students that they would not otherwise have. This group would also continue to represent our school both in and out of our local community. We currently have an electric violin and viola and are hoping to purchase an electric cello and violin to get us one step closer to our goal. The complete group will consist of two violins, viola, cello, electric bass (optional), drum set, and piano (optional).
