These materials will make a difference in my students' learning. Currently the students are only sitting on hard regular chairs, which is not helpful for all children. I know that my students would become more engaged and focus better if they were provided with a flexible seating option. Besides the flexible seating options for the students, these students need some engaging materials in order to aid their reading. They deserve to have differentiated and different materials to use during reading groups. The Irlen overlays are meant to help students with dyslexia or other visual impairments, but can also benefit every child who wants to use them. Also, the other manipulatives like the monkey string, playdoh, and dry erase markers can help incorporate different strategies and activities to gain student attention and show them the concepts visually. My students will be strongly impacted and benefit immensely from these materials. They will be able to engage in reading activities while being able to sit comfortably in the classroom.
