My students come from every economic status (upper class down to lower class) and I love them all. My school is in Louisiana and did have some affects of Hurricane Katrina. Although the area we are in was not totally ravaged by the hurricane, it did make a significant and everlasting impact on everyone. In addition, the children I teach are part of the "Information Generation". The technology is becoming more and more advanced every day and it is hard for teachers to monetarily keep up with everything. My students are so smart and know more about these advances than I do. I would like to have more familiar technology in my classroom to promote learning on every level and learning style.
