I am wanting to provide books to inspire my girls to pursue a career in science. Students will improve literacy by reading about many different fields in science and will use that knowledge to inspire them into picking a STEM career. So many books and other resources downplay women in science and I want to show them that women have already accomplished so much in science. Yet there is so much further to go before we are able to be truly balanced. My girls will be reading not only about different topics in science, but also about the women who have forged new trails. Help me inspire the next generation of readers and scientists.
