“One of the greatest gifts adults can give to their offspring and their society is to read to children.” Reading aloud provides a number of opportunities and benefits for children of all ages, from strengthening their vocabulary to increasing their attention span. One of the most important benefits for my students is that it provides enjoyment. Storytime is their favorite time of the day! Our current classroom library lacks diversity, but by sponsoring this project, you help give students the opportunity to listen to enjoyable stories, featuring characters who look like them!
