Creating an up-to-date classroom library has long been a dream of mine. These books will give my students the ability to choose interesting books that are at their reading level. I have chosen books that are award winners as well as culturally diverse. My hope is that these books will enable my students to finally see themselves represented as well as people from cultures that might be unfamiliar to them. With a more updated library, I hope to not only improve their reading, but to also enhance their social mindfulness.
