Students spend a lot of time in the classroom and for many, it is their only safe space: a home away from home. In order to create a warm and creative environment where students feel secure and inspired to learn, I would like to purchase flexible seating, a sitting mat, and light covers. Students will feel empowered by being able to have a choice of seating, some physical movement, and comfort. Feeling at ease will promote listening, creativity, and less frustration because students will be able to focus solely on their work not how uncomfortable they are.
