Second grade is a transitional year in handwriting as students move from print to cursive. With the inconsistencies of this school year, it has been difficult for me to give my students enough practice to be successful in this transition. I would like to provide each child with his or her own wipe-clean cursive book where they can practice and perfect the basic strokes used in the cursive alphabet. If my students can master these beginner strokes, they will be ready for their third grade handwriting instruction next year. Children love learning how to write in cursive because it makes them feel "grown," so your gift towards this project is sure to be loved and appreciated by each child receiving a wipe-clean book!
