My Special Education students have difficulty using other forms of technology to access learning. Ipads would provide my students easy access to learning activities with the touch of a finger, the ability to communicate via touch to talk apps, the ability to use speech to text for writing, and access the school curriculum. We currently have one ipad that all my students have to take turn using. A majority of my students would use the ipads to access curriculum, share their learning via apps such as Seesaw, and use speech to text for writing assignments. Some of my other students would use the ipad to help them communicate their needs with teachers and peers through speech apps. Having iPads available for my students would enhance their learning experience and improve their lives.
