Do you remember waiting to read the next chapter of your book when you were a kid? These materials will provide novel studies for both my 5-6th grade students. These books will easily allow students to grow as readers by discussing the content with our state standards, but also it will allow students enjoy a good book. In addition, novel studies provide students an opportunity to grow their vocabulary and understanding of many concepts. It allows students build their background knowledge on different cultures. Furthermore, novels will allow my students to understand the value of reading a book verses a text book. They are able to dive deeper into a text and have valuable discussions while reading their text.
