My 8th graders want to leave our school better than they found it by gifting a large scale mosaic artwork as part of their 8th Grade Legacy Art Project. A mosaic mural requires a lot of material. The largest chunk of that are actually the smallest pieces. It will take over 10,000 pieces of glass and tile to complete their mosaic. And art supplies are expensive. We simply do not have the ability to purchase the thousands of pieces of glass and tile that is needed to complete the mosaic. We also need several tools in order to create the mosaic as well. Not only will their artwork remain at our school, but the supplies can be used for years to come in our art class, as well.
