My students have classroom jobs that they rotate every two weeks. One of the most important jobs is that of our “time keeper.” We use timers several times throughout our 45 minute class periods and the person whose job is the time keeper has to use either a cell phone or their Chromebook to set their timer. The timers help the class run efficiently and it also serves as a visual of what little time we have to complete our major tasks. The classroom timers would be a minor way to make a major change in our classroom.
