Social-Emotional Learning has been proven to make a positive impact on student's academic learning along with providing great skills in areas that middle school students struggle with. A lot of my students struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or past or current trauma on top of going through puberty and other aspects of adolescent development. This Social Emotional Toolbox will provide items such as fidget toys, mindful cards, and games for students who are in a crisis at school, will help integrate mindfulness practices with in-person and virtual learning, and provide students will the tools for managing their own needs through mindfulness practices.
