Students are experiencing a tremendous amount of stress right now. Creating and environment where they feel safe and name and respond to their emotions is so important. Creating a cooldown corner in the classroom will help students manage their emotions at school. They will learn more because they feel safe and are learning crucial social emotional skills. Teaching in an elementary school; students are without their parents often for the first time. They need to learn how to manage emotions they might be feeling for the very first time. This cooldown corner with help us learn about our own emotions and resolve conflict when needed.
