My students’ eyes light up when they enter the art room and see the paints out; they love to paint. Although, it is becoming more difficult for them to create through painting because our paint brushes are wearing out. The brushes have been used by many young artists through the years and are now not doing the best job for my current students. Liquid watercolors will also help with the wear of the brushes because the paint will flow onto the paper easier and produce more vibrant colors. These new painting tools will provide the opportunity for my students to paint many different projects that will allow their creativity and imagination to grow. I also tie literature into many of my projects as I base them on different picture books that I read to my students. Projects are inspired by characters or illustrations from the books. Your help in providing paint and paint brushes would definitely boost my students’ excitement as they explore and foster their creativity.
